SB 326 Requires HOAs to Inspect Exterior Elevated Elements

California Senate Bill 326 requires “the association of a condominium project to cause a reasonably competent and diligent visual inspection of exterior elevated elements.” A licensed Structural Engineer or Architect must inspect the Exterior Elevated Elements of a building including the load bearing components and associated waterproofing systems. It is required for a random and statistically significant sample of Exterior Elevated Elements to be inspected within a 95% confidence.
