About the Role

The successful candidate will have the ability to execute and lead projects through all phases of design documentation and administration, as well as actively support large projects within an expanded team setting. This position encourages creativity in problem solving to promote technical and design excellence while ensuring building code and regulatory compliance. Project size, type and responsibility will vary. This position will require a high level of coordination with others within a team environment. Project work may include all levels of design, including studies, conceptual design, design development, detailed design and construction administration.

Requirements

Position Duties:

  • Project Scheduling and Management

  • Structural Building Design

  • Apply structural engineering principles to new and unusual situations and collaborate ideas with other structural team members

  • Prepare and monitor project status reports

  • Interact with other discipline team leaders and clients

  • Travel for site investigations, project, and construction meetings

  • Opportunity to work remotely based on qualification of duties


Position Qualifications:

  • Experience in design of structural systems for construction documents

  • Managing projects and structural design with drafting team and designers

  • Fundamental understanding of multiple structural systems

  • Experience with structural engineering calculations for project deliverables

  • Highly motivated, organized with excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in using spreadsheets, word processing, and standard structural software

  • Professional Structural Engineering License in State of CA or equivalent experience
